John is an experienced luthier, equipped to carry out most types of restoration and repair, as well as answering questions of attribution, and carrying out valuations in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
With valuable antique instruments, preserving the originality of varnish and wood, and the maker's original intention, is always uppermost in consideration when assessing an instrument's condition, and any restoration or repair that is required.
Violin, viola, mandolin and cello bridges can be fitted to players individual needs when desired, as is also the case with bow rehairs.
